The four deaths are a mother, her two daughters and grandson. One of the girls thrown from the bike hit the road and was lying on her back in a pool of blood.

Investigation revealed that the Vios had been traveling outbound from Sing Buri to In Buri District behind a pickup truck. As the sedan moved into the right lane to overtake it, the motorcycle, with the mother taking her children and grandchild to school and just turning into the front gate, was violently rear-ended, ejecting all four passengers in every direction. After the collision, the driver fled the scene.
