Yala - Three men were shot to death and two more serious injured yesterday in the daily series of fatal attacks.

Border Patrol Police reported that this ambush occurred at around 8 p.m. as a white van with the five victims as passengers neared Yala market.  An unknown number of gunmen on a black pick-up with no plate number following the van opened fire at it, killing the driver and the passenger in the front seat instantly.  Three other passengers were seriously injured; one died on the way to the hospital and the other two are now in the ICU.

Police suspect that this killing is the work of terrorists who want to terrify the local people.
