Translate the following into English.

มะพร้าวเป็นพืชชนิดหนึ่งในตระกูลปาล์ม  เมื่อโตเต็มที่ อาจสูงได้ถึง 30 เมตร  ชื่อของพืช ชนิดนี้มาจากคำภาษาสเปน cocos ที่มีความหมายว่า “หน้ายิ้ม” เนื่องจากรูเล็กๆ 3 รูบนกะลามะพร้าวดูคล้ายกับลักษณะบนใบหน้าของคน  มะพร้าวเป็นพืชเขตร้อน พบมากในบริเวณชายฝั่งทะเล และปลูกได้ในกว่า 80 ประเทศ ทั่วโลก  ผลผลิตโดยรวมที่ ได้สูงถึง 61 ล้านตัน ต่อปี  ส่วนต่างๆของมะพร้าว ใช้ประโยชน์ได้มากมายในครัวเรือน การค้าและอุตสาหกรรม  มะพร้าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของอาหารประจำวันที่คนจำนวนมากรับประทาน  ผลให้น้ำมันที่ใช้สำหรับทอด ทำอาหาร และทำเนยเทียม  เนื้อ มะพร้าวทั้งสดและแห้งมักใช้มากในการทำขนม  ส่วนน้ำมะพร้าวก็เป็นเครื่องดื่มที่ให้ความสดชื่นและสามารถนำไป แปร รูปเพื่อผลิตแอลกอฮอล์ได้  นอก จากนี้ น้ำมันมะพร้าวยังเป็นส่วนผสมที่สำคัญอย่างหนึ่งของสบู่และเครื่องสำอางค์ อีกด้วย
