On the 19th November, 6 PM, Pol.Lt.Gen Thaworn Khaosai, commander of the provincial police of Chachoengsao province, was reported of a burglary in Ban Yana village, Bang Kla sub-district, Plaengyao district. He then rushed to the scene with an inquiry official. The scene where the burglary took place is a one-story house owned by the village headman and his wife. A ceiling slot was left open. There are footprints on the window from the outside. The bedroom was thrashed and belongings were taken. Village headman break-in, burglar escapes with gold and cash
On November 19, 2020, 6 p.m. Pol.Lt. Gen. Thavorn Khawsai, the commander of Chachoengsao Provincial Police, was reported of burglary at a house within a local community, Baan Ya-Naang, Chachoengsao. The officer, along with the investigator, rushed to the scene. The break-in occurred at a single-storey house, where the ceiling sheet next to the interior window was found open and a footprint supposedly indicated a trace from outside the window. The bedroom was left scattered. A piggy bank with 600 baht in cash was gone while in another bedroom next to the previous one, the village headman and his wife’s, a bag with around 30 grams of gold necklace and 40,000-baht cash on their headboard also went missing, all of which was worth 90,000 baht in total. The victim or the village headman, Chumpol Rungroj, 58, said that prior to the burglary no one was in the house. He discovered that the burglar broke in around 17.30 p.m. as his son, who just got home from work, entered his bedroom and found that someone had rummaged through the room. So he checked out the other, noticed several missing properties then went on to inform the police in order to further proceed with the investigation and arrest. The
police primarily presumed the burglar was an outsider since
people in the community knew each other well. Moreover, such
an incident had never happened in the past 80 years. To
avoid any burglary, those who live in the vicinity should
check and lock their houses properly. |

Burglar loots house of village chief, makes off with gold and cash
At 6.00 p.m. on November 19, 2020, Police Lieutenant General Taworn Khaosai, commander of Chacherngsao Provincial Police, was notified of a break-in at a house in the Ban Ya Na community in Bangkla sub-district Bangkla, Plaeng Yao District, Chacherngsao province. He rushed to the scene with a team of investigators. The location was a single-storey house. There, police found a ceiling panel by the windows open and a trail of footprints going up to the windows outside. A bedroom was found to have been ransacked and a piggy bank with around 600 baht inside was missing. Upon checking a connecting bedroom where the village headsman and his wife stay, police learnt that a bag containing a gold necklace weighing 2 baht and 40,000 baht in cash, at the head of the bed, was gone. The stolen items amounted to about 90,000 baht in total. On questioning, Chumpon Roongroj, aged 58, the village headman and victim, said that nobody was home before the incident. He learned of the break-in at around 5.30 p.m. when his son, who was back from work, entered the bedroom and found it to have been ransacked. When they checked their belongings, they found some items missing and informed the police so that the culprit would be brought to justice. At
this point, police believe the thief was an outsider because
the village is a tight-knit community where everybody knows
each other well and this incident had never happened in the
past 80 years. Police also urged locals to keep their homes
secured at all times to prevent a recurrence. |
